How to remove auto.exe? Virus

I have recently came across a lot of client pc’s infected with the “autorun.exe or autorun.inf” virus. Usually a good spy-ware tool or anti virus will remove this virus, but on occasion it does not, and other methods needs to be used. I came across this method by searching the net, and it works great.

Remove auto.exe virus

Copy and paste the following into a notepad file and save file as “kill-auto.bat”.
Click on the file kill-auto.bat and it will delete the autorun virus

mkdir autorun.inf
attrib -r -s -h auto.exe
del auto.exe
mkdir auto.exe

Do the same with each drive, changing c: for the appropriate drive letter (if you are using more than one disk drive)

The empty folder “autorun.inf” and “auto.exe” created by the script is to immune your system against future infection

Do not remove the empty folder
Restart your PC to clear auto.exe in the RAM
